Project Description
The Khashm-Alan Residential Development Project to the east of Riyadh is a large-scale housing and urban planning initiative covering seven million square meters and comprising 6,000 villas. The development features two categories of villas—Soldier Villas and Officer Villas—constructed using precast panels produced on-site, with insulation designed to withstand Riyadh’s extreme six-to-seven-month summer heat. The project’s scope also includes extensive external works, including over 160 kilometers of roads, pedestrian pathways, and allied utilities both above and below ground, as well as public amenities such as mosques, markets, public parks, recreational areas, and community buildings. Supporting infrastructure incorporates sewage and water treatment facilities, with wastewater recycling systems implemented for sustainable irrigation, highlighting the project’s focus on energy-efficient and environmentally responsible urban development.
