Self-made Solar Street Lights for University Students Can Continuously Illuminate for 12 Hours

The "Design and Implementation of a Multi-functional Solar Street Lamp" project of the innovation community of the University of Tibet University has been successfully completed over the past three months. This time, the “Design and Implementation of a Multi-functional Solar Street Lamp” developed by the students of the school is the sixth batch of environmental protection public welfare activities funded by the China Environment Protection Foundation. According to the director of the project, Liu Can, the street light can achieve 12 hours of lighting, and the cost is only 3,000 yuan. After the project is completed, the team members will also contact related companies to strive for realizing the practical application of multifunctional solar street lamps. It is understood that the design and production of this multi-functional solar street lamp will all be completed by the students of Tibet University. Students buy components such as UV sensors, temperature sensors, light sensors, and street lamp model components from the Internet. After the lamp model production, circuit welding, wiring, circuit testing, etc. to build a hardware platform, software debugging after the completion of multi-function solar street lamp.

In addition, the project team also organized four environmental promotion activities. The use of environmental video, environmental knowledge surveys, environmental knowledge competition, environmental protection initiative bookmarks, environmental protection technology achievement demonstrations, and environmental protection knowledge exhibition boards are used to enable Tibetan university students to learn more about environmental protection and raise awareness of environmental protection.
