Street Lighting Project in Karaköy - Kadıköy Turyol
Location
Located in the heart of Istanbul, the Karaköy – Kadıköy Turyol ferry route connects two iconic districts on either side of the Bosphorus. Karaköy, known for its historic architecture and vibrant commercial activity, meets Kadıköy, a cultural and residential hub on the Asian side. This bustling transport corridor sees high daily footfall from both locals and tourists, especially during early mornings and late evenings. To enhance nighttime visibility, safety, and aesthetic appeal, a dedicated street lighting project was implemented along the pedestrian paths and ferry terminals. The project prioritizes both energy efficiency and visual harmony with the surrounding urban landscape—making it a key lighting initiative in one of Istanbul’s most dynamic transit zones.

Project Description
The Karaköy – Kadıköy Turyol street lighting project was designed to improve safety, visibility, and energy efficiency along one of Istanbul’s most active ferry routes. High-efficiency LED lights were installed across ferry terminals, walkways, and access roads to provide consistent, glare-free illumination. The design also respects the historic charm of Karaköy and the modern spirit of Kadıköy, creating a well-lit, inviting, and visually balanced urban environment.
